Community Concert – Gospel Meets Symphony

Akron Symphony’s Gospel Meets Symphony concert will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at EJ Thomas Hall at 7:30 p.m. This Gospel Meets Symphony concert will be in honor of one of Gospel Meets Symphony’s founders, Dorothy Jackson. Highlights include Pastor Richard Cash, Mount Haven Baptist Church, and the crowning ceremony by Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home.
This concert is a unique blend of traditional symphonic music with gospel creates a moving and memorable experience. As one of the largest African-American events in Akron, it is still an event that celebrates pride in the community.
Gospel Meets Symphony tickets may be purchased through the Akron Symphony ticket office ($60, $40, or $20). Group sales of 10 or more ($48, $32, & $16). Students are $15.
