Celebration of Advent – Week #2 – Peace

Join us this Sunday morning for the second week of the celebration of Advent. “Advent” means “coming to” and is the celebration of the coming/arrival of Jesus (the promised, anointed king who would be the perfect sacrifice that cleanses all sin – only needing to happen once – and encompassing all the sins of everyone – ever. There would be no more need for animal sacrifices – ‘cause that didn’t cleanse the soul anyway! Through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, God could say, “I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (Heb. 8:10b).
